In response to international consumer protection guidelines and parent advisory board recommendations, Roblox Corporation has debuted an expanded family management suite. The update introduces remote spending controls, automated transaction alerts, and a new "Sensitive Issues" descriptor added to the platform's Content Maturity questionnaire.
Setting Remote Monthly Spending Caps
One of the most requested features among parents is the ability to curb unexpected virtual currency purchases. Through the new Family Dashboard, parents can establish strict monthly allowances for real-currency transactions. When a child approaches the spending ceiling, automated SMS and email notifications are dispatched, and further Robux purchases are blocked until the next billing cycle.

The "Sensitive Issues" Content Descriptor
Experiences that touch upon historical conflicts, social commentary, or philosophical debates will now display the "Sensitive Issues" badge on their details page. Accounts registered to users under 13 will be barred from launching these experiences unless a linked parent account grants one-time or permanent clearance.
Parents can configure these settings directly in the account portal. For step-by-step instructions on managing privacy locks, visit our parental restriction controls manual or reach out to our team with parental safety inquiries.
