Why Roblox Partnered with VNG in Vietnam
Under Vietnamese gaming regulations (Decree 71 and Decree 147), foreign game platforms operating within the country must partner with an authorized domestic publisher and comply with national server hosting, content classification, and age verification standards.
Roblox partnered with VNG Corporation to release "Roblox VNG", the official licensed client for Vietnamese players. Existing global players are not required to create new accounts; instead, you link your existing global account to the VNG ecosystem.
Step-by-Step Account Linking Instructions
1. Download the official "Roblox VNG" client from the Vietnamese App Store or Google Play Store.
2. Open the app and click "Log In" (Đăng nhập) rather than Sign Up.
3. Enter your current international Roblox username and password.
4. An official VNG account verification modal will appear requesting your full legal name, date of birth, and Vietnamese Citizen Identification Number (CCCD).
5. Review and confirm the link. Once verified, your account is fully authenticated.
What Happens to Your Existing Robux and Items?
A major concern among players is whether migration erases Robux balances or limited items. The answer is completely reassuring: Roblox VNG connects to the exact same global Roblox backend database.
Your Robux balance, premium subscriptions, inventory items, badges, friend lists, and game saves remain 100% intact. You will continue playing alongside international friends on global servers.
